Festival of Arts of Laguna Beach Launches foaTV

Digital Library to Offer Enjoyment of the Arts at Your Fingertips

The Festival of Arts of Laguna Beach is pleased to announce the launch of foaTV, an online library of videos created for the fans of the Pageant of the Masters and the Fine Arts Show to help the community stay connected while also encouraging the appreciation, study and performance of the arts. The Festival’s foaTV debuts to the public today, June 15, 2020, following its discrete launch to Festival members, volunteers and exhibiting artists with early access on Wednesday, June 10. “We are excited to offer a digital stage that not only allows us to easily showcase the videos we have from past seasons, but also offers our organization the opportunity to broadcast new videos for everyone to enjoy from the comfort of their homes,” said Sharbie Higuchi, Director of Marketing/PR and Merchandising at Festival of Arts of Laguna Beach. “Our hope is that foaTV will be resourceful, entertaining and enriching.”

Compiling videos, clips and past digital recordings into one hub, foaTV offers a variety of art-stopping Festival of Arts channels to choose from. Relive fascinating conversations and discussions in “Art Talks Live,” and re-watch your favorite special events from the past years, like the fan-favorite Fashion Show or Celebrity Benefit Night, on the “Events” channel. The “Meet the Artists” channel showcases videos of the Fine Art Show’s exhibiting artists and takes a deeper look at their work and careers in the arts. Interested in the Festival’s history and art education programs? The Festival of Arts foaTV has that covered too!

The “Pageant of the Masters” channel allows viewers to watch video clips of past casting calls, behind the scenes tours, and footage from media who stepped inside a living picture like hosts from The Today Show and Jimmy Kimmel Live. Not sure what to watch first? Each week the home page of foaTV will feature a video of the week.

“I believe the arts are needed more now than ever. Watching foaTV over these past few days has allowed me and my family the chance to not only enjoy some of our favorite things about the Festival of Arts, but it has inspired us and brought some comfort to our home,” shared Festival of Arts member Colleen Walker of Newport Beach. “I’ve personally enjoyed learning more about some of the local artists, the Festival’s history, and especially liked the ‘Art Talk Live’ with the Pageant Director.”

“foaTV is just the beginning,” adds Higuchi. “We plan to continue to expand into the digital space and are eager to share more on the Virtual Exhibit in the coming weeks.”

The Festival of Arts foaTV is available free of cost to the public starting today, June 15, 2020.
